The Studio Theatre, Hertford
Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th April 2025
After the success of our presentation of John Finnemore's plays last year we are now presenting two new plays. Both are held in very high regard:
A Flock of Tigers was shortlisted for Best Scripted Comedy Drama in the BBC Audio Drama Awards in 2016 and English for Pony Lovers won the Writers Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Comedy in 2017. They are amongst the most successful episodes of Double Acts so far and a hilarious evening is guaranteed.
In A Flock of Tigers we are on a train in 1934. Edmund – a stiff upper lip English gentleman and father, is unable to use his imagination, until he is helped to do so by eccentric American woman Dolorosa.
English for Pony Lovers is set in a small-town bar in modern-day Germany. British teenager Lorna attempts to give German woman Elke an English lesson. What could possibly go wrong?
